Designed to offer long-range support, the XV88 Broadside Battlesuit has exceeded expectations, becoming a mainstay of the Hunter Cadres and tank-killers of legendary proportions. 1 Cadre Fireblade Fireblades are the most grizzled and seasoned Fire Warriors of their cadre, whose skill at the Fire Warrior's art leads them to eschew battlesuit technology. They are excellent field leaders and their long experience has taught them exactly where to place shots to maximise damage. The Cadre Fireblade model brings an extra dynamism and level of detail to a T'au collection. The figure is incredibly elaborate, with unique fine-panelled combat armour bearing T'au symbols. Kroot Hounds are predatory kin-beasts, kept as hunting animals by Kroot kindreds. Once set loose in packs, they lope swiftly across the battlefield in search of prey. Krootox Rampagers are terrifying skirmish cavalry, combining the aggression and agility of juvenile Krootox mounts with the vicious skill and cunning of a Kroot rider. Krootox Riders are living gun platforms, loaded with armaments that would be far too bulky for light-footed Kroot infantry. Though the Krootox are not naturally aggressive, these powerful beasts regard their fellow Kroot as packmates, and will lash out with fearsome strength to defend their kin. Guided by gunners who sway atop their steeds in sturdy harnesses, they lumber into battle to provide mobile fire support for aggressive hunting packs. This multipart plastic kit builds one Krootox Rider, an elder Kroot kin-beast with a gunner perched atop its broad back. The Krootox carries one of two heavy weapons into battle – either a rapid-fire repeater cannon that can punch through armoured troops or even light vehicles with a barrage of charged rounds, or a tanglecannon that launches explosive bolas to shred entire hordes. 10 Pathfinder 3 Drones Light reconnaissance units, Pathfinder Teams are the eyes and ears of their Commander in a way no drone can yet emulate. A Pathfinder's foremost role is not to engage the enemy, but instead to operate ahead of their comrades, close to their foe, to accurately scout the enemy. There are 10 Pathfinders in this kit, and they can be built in a variety of ways - there are different leg options, for kneeling, crouching or standing, as well as different head options. They sport lighter recon armour, which covers their torso, shoulders, knees and elbows, and they wear the similar long, elegant helmets to Fire Warriors. They can carry a selection of weapons including pulse carbines, rail rifle, and ion rifles. The kit includes an enormous Recon Drone, which can be mounted on a Devilfish tank (not included), and which comes armed with a burst cannon. TX4 Piranha The Piranha is a lightly armoured vehicle used by the T'au in a range of capacities, including rapid response, support of pathfinder teams and even as battlefield transport for high-ranking dignitaries. By Upgrading the vehicle to carry a fusion blaster or a pair of seeker missiles it becomes an effective tank hunter, particularly when guided to a target by Pathfinder teams.
