5 Aberrants Bases 5 32mm Bases Misshapen, lumpen and inhumanly strong, the Aberrants are the repugnant offshoots of the brood cycle. Though dim-witted, their instinctive need to defend their broodkin makes them valuable assets to the cult. With heavy industrial tools raised, they cause impressive carnage with only their brute force and single-minded determination. Aberrants form terrifying packs of warriors that excel in delivering huge amounts of damage in close combat. Their heavy melee weapons are used to bludgeon their enemies into submission, and if those don't do the job, their rending claws add a lethal coup de grace. Combined with their ability to shrug off much of the damage dealt to them, this unit can dominate their enemies with ease. 1 Abominant Bases 1 40mm Bases A champion amongst the mutant aberrants of the cult, the Abominant is a misshapen wrecking ball of muscle and chitin that wields a heavy bludgeoning instrument as if it weighs no more than a switch of willow. Only when the roaring, demented brute crushes all before it in a spasmodic frenzy, crying out in a mixture of anger, pain and self-loathing, does the true horror of its existence become clear. It is guided by a Mindwyrm Familiar, a diminutive bio-psychic construct that is given life in the decaying slurry found in a Patriarch's lair. The Abominant is a devastating close combat specialist, able to deliver huge amounts of damage with his power sledgehammer and rending claw. It gives Genestealer Cults players a melee-focussed Elites choice whose Mindwyrm Familiar helps to protect it and other nearby friendly units from psychic attacks. 1 Achilles Ridgerunners Bases 1 120mm Oval Base Achilles Ridgerunners range into deadly frontier environments, their pilots scanning for promising resource deposits and communicating their location back to base. Though well equipped to engage enemy scouts and outriders, the Achilles Ridgerunner's true qualities lie in its ability to rove ahead of the cult's main forces, scouting out potential ambush sites and routes of ingress into the foe's territory. Achilles Ridgerunners are fast-moving buggies capable of carrying a significant amount of ordnance. They can also operate as a vital support vehicle for units of Atalan Jackals, giving that unit even more manoeuvrability. A master of gene-manipulation and bio-alchemy, the Biophagus is responsible for industrialising the process of indoctrination and infection. They concoct devious new contaminants that infect their victims with xenos genetics, morphing their body and mind, and rendering them susceptible to the sinister influence of the cult. A Patriarch may grant the Biophagus a Familiar, a scuttling assistant that sneaks into safeguarded facilities to disperse chemical agents into watersumps or air filtration bellows. As well as providing considerable buffs to a nearby Genestealer Cults Aberrant unit, the Biophagus is a formidable melee fighter in its own right, making great use of his lethal injector goad. His Alchemicus Familiar can also assist him as he seeks to improve the fighting prowess of his mutated brethren, helping to make the hulking Aberrants in your army even more dangerous. 1 Clamavus Bases 1 32 mm Base The Clamavus is an information assassin supreme, seeding audio-viruses into the planetary vox network and dismantling communications. It is their role to create an aura of fear and confusion that their kin can exploit. The Clamavus is an Elites choice for your Genestealer Cults army. You'll find your nearby troops benefit from better Leadership as well as improved advance and charge rolls, making him great when paired with close-combat units. Can be assembled as Goliath Truck OR Goliath Rockgrinder 1 Goliath Built to withstand the pressures and challenges of underground mining, the Goliath Rockgrinder is a devastating piece of equipment when turned to aggression. Surging forward into the massed ranks of the enemy, servo-mounted weaponry seeking and destroying priority targets, the Rockgrinder drives ever-forward, its sawtoothed drilldozer ripping apart anything foolish enough to stand in its path. 1 Jackal Alphus. Bases 1 60mm base The Jackal Alphus is the undisputed leader of their pack. Not only are they the deadliest and fastest of their kin, they possess nerves of steel and a mind so focused that those of the Ordo Xenos who have seen them work have compared them to Imperial Assassins. The Jackal Alphus is the perfect leader for an armoured Genestealer Cults army, spearheading columns of Atalan Jackals or Goliath Trucks on her dirtcycle. Armed with a jackal sniper rifle, this character is great for chipping away at enemy champions, while her Priority Target Sighted ability allows you to nominate enemy units for destruction, making nearby Genestealer Cults more accurate when firing on them. 1 Magus Bases 1 32mm Base Maguses are psychically gifted and possessed of a supernatural charisma. Their control of the hybrids around them is total. As a prophet of their Patriarch, the word of a Magus is law, and their telepathic abilities are more than powerful enough to enforce it. A Magus is a vital psychic unit for your Genestealer Cults army. With one on your side, you'll have access to a huge host of powerful abilities, allowing you to seize control of enemy units or drive your own to greater heights of carnage. Defensively, you'll be able to shut down enemy psykers by providing nearby units with the ability to deny their powers. This set builds one Magus, and features options allowing you to build yours with a knife in one hand, or a skull. 10 Neophyte Hybrids Bases 10 25mm bases By the time a Genestealer Cult launches its insurrection, its Neophyte Hybrids make up a horde of thousands. Weathered and toughened by a life of hard labour, each cultist features the inhuman reactions and strength their alien genes gift them. These third and fourth generation hybrids can pass as human – sinisterly, some can even infiltrate the Astra Militarum, such are their blessings. When the cult signals their attack, Neophytes swarm from sewers, catacombs and shadowy barracks, overwhelming their enemies and seizing control of entire planets within hours. This multi-part plastic box set contains all the components necessary to assemble 10 Genestealer Cult Neophyte Hybrids, armed with autoguns, autopistols and blasting charges. 1 Nexoses Bases 1 40mm base Nexoses act as each Genestealer Cults central nervous system. They are granted psychometric powers that allow them to absorb the memories and consciousness of indoctrinated organisms, processing that sensory data into a steady stream of strategic instructions and deployment orders. The Nexos is a tactical lynchpin for the Genestealer Cults army - a strategic unit who rewards careful planning. With him, you'll be able to re-deploy your Ambush markers, letting you get the jump on the foe, while there's a chance he'll grant you additional Command Points, giving you even more tactical options! There is no engine of the oppressors that a Reductus Saboteur cannot lay low, and there are few materials they cannot fashion into an explosive given a little time to tinker. 1 Sanctus Bases 1 32mm Base Sanctuses are the favoured blades of their Patriarch, assassins whose task it is to eliminate any who oppose the cultists - ascension to glory. Like creeping shadows they slip into the most heavily guarded facilities, seeking out their targets and eliminating them with merciless precision. The Sanctus is a specialist assassin in your Genestealer Cults army, capable of appearing from nowhere and slaying your enemy's favourite characters. Incredibly difficult to pin down or hit, he's a fantastic disruption unit. You'll be able to arm your Sanctus with your choice of silencer sniper rifle or Sanctus bio-dagger - the former is superb for killing psykers, while the latter makes the Sanctus into a brutal close-combat fighter.
