1 Nagash Supreme Lord of the Undead Bases 1 130mm base Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead is the father of necromancy. Resurrected by dark ritual, the immortal Lord of Death is an awe-inspiring centerpiece miniature. Borne aloft by tendrils of ethereal energy and tormented spirits, his unique silhouette looms over the battlefield with an air that promises to usher in a new era of darkness. This multi-part plastic kit is equipped with an array of Nagash’s most precious artifacts. Upon his brow sits the Crown of Sorcery, while his hand grips either Alakanash, the Staff of Power or Zefet-nebtar, the Mortis Blade. He is clad in Morikhane, the Black Armour, and orbiting around his sorcerous frame are nine ancient books, each one containing the terrible secrets of animating the dead. Nagash can be assembled either reading from one of the ancient tomes - the Liber Mortis - and holding the Staff of Power aloft with the Mortis Blade secured to his waist. Alternatively you can replace the Staff with the Mortis Blade and add to the ethereal energy that surrounds Nagash by equipping a spirit-entwined arm. 1 Necromancer Bases 1 32mm base Necromancers are widely regarded as twisted and corrupt individuals who are obsessed with death and the avoidance of it at all costs. They are used (for they are rarely their own master) by Vampires to animate the broken corpses of their servants and return them to battle. To learn such dark magic, these desperate men will seek out a Necromancer or a Vampire to teach them, though this task is not without its own dangers and many aspirants have found themselves dying a grim death at the hands (or fangs) of their would-be tutor. Those that do survive invariably become powerful spell-casters, though their sanity is forever broken by the horrors they have witnessed. 1 Wight King with Baleful Tomb Blade Bases 1 32mm base In ancient times, mighty warlords fought across the lands. Upon their death, these brutal warriors were buried deep beneath the ground, their tombs protected from thieves and looters by shamanistic spells. Many of these tombs are now long gone; but many others still remain. Some were built in areas where Dark Magic flows and pools. In these accursed places, the incumbents rest uneasily. When the Dark Magic grows strong, the ancient warlords rise from their crypts as Wight Kings, eyes glowing with unnatural life. The merest touch of their blade can drain the life from their foes, or slice through flesh and bone with effortless ease. Tomb Banshees are apparitions of revenge and retribution. For countless lifetimes, these fell spirits have dwelt upon the dark deed that robbed them of vitality, love or contentment, becoming bitter and hate-filled. A single piercing scream from a Tomb Banshee is enough to freeze the life from even the bravest warrior. Little is known of the mysterious First of the Vyrkos. When she and her lupine packs hunt, the enemy is overcome by a storm of savage claws and slavering fangs, their champions hideously transfigured by the cruel and ancient matriarch. Deadwalker Zombies are created from the bodies of the recently dead, given strength through the power of dark necromancy and sent onto the battlefield in shambling hordes. Utterly mindless and driven by a collective instinct alone, zombie migrations have become an ever-present plague following the necroquake, and many cities have instituted roving 'pyre-gangs' to burn out an infestation before it grows too large. A Wight King mounted on a Skeletal Steed leads the charge accompanied by five swift and deadly Barrow Knights. The core of the force is 20 Barrow Guard, elite infantry clad in heavy armour. The Wight King bears a sickle-shaped King's Relic Weapon and a shield. They can alternatively be built as a mighty Wight Lord, wielding a Lord's Tomb Blade and shield, with a different helmet, and horse head.  The Barrow Knights are armed with lances and shields, ready to crash home at the end of a charge. It is said that to hear a Dire Wolf's howl is to be damned. Grotesque monsters that prey upon the blood of the unfortunate souls they catch, Fell Bats are an amalgamation of deathly magics and the Soulblight curse brought into being by their vampire masters. Often seeking out victims to drain for their lord's own sustenance, the grossly oversized wingspan of these bats is often the last thing someone will see before razor-sharp fangs sink into their flesh. Not only are they a useful delivery service for blood, but they're also excellent scouts and flanking troops for the Soulblight Gravelords. As their lust for blood drives them to ever more savage feats of violence, the Fell Bats repeatedly dive in and out of combat in a frenzy of bloodshed that only ends when they, or more often their victim, expires completely. Though Kritza professes nobility, in reality, his soul is as odious as the sewers that are his lair.
